ABOUT OUR FESTIVAL
BBQ, Blues, & Boos Festival is a fundraising event built to provide a unique experience for the Barnwell community, promote the vibrant culture of the region, and support the non-profit economic development work of the Southern Palmetto Regional Chamber & The Southern Palmetto Foundation. Profits from this event go directly to supporting free and low cost programs built to support emerging entrepreneurs and small businesses in and around Barnwell & Allendale Counties.
This Festival began as the Palmetto Pig Pickin’ in 2019, and then was promptly canceled for two years straight due to safety concerns related to COVID-19. It came back in 2022 with the new name, and a larger mission to create a fun community event supporting the expanded non-profit work of the Southern Palmetto Regional Chamber and Foundation which, since the event’s inception, has grown to include the important work of the Palmetto Innovation Center fostering a more vibrant economy in the region.
